Out of a Dream

Dreams are all about what you might want from life, but are not aware of it yet. As time goes by adults stop putting much store in the foundation of dreams. People disregard what they dream about and what their dreams are. Dreams are just that dreams. Things or ideas which you might aspire for. Without dreams, not much can be innovated or achieved.
Dreams have always had a special place in my life. I have a deep belief in the dreams which come to me at night and the dreams that I dream by day. They both are a part of who I am as a person. They are what will shape me as a human being. Or so I hope. The thing with dreams is, that they are highly fickle. They don't have a set pattern or a basis in reality and practicality. It falls completely upon me to give my dreams a practical face.
This is where the going gets tough. How can I turn something which is just an idea or a thought from my subconscious into something that can be tangible in my life? Just thinking about this, it makes dreaming difficult. Or more importantly it makes believing and pursuing dreams that much more difficult.
People don't usually want to follow their dreams if they lack the resources to do so. Let's face it, not everyone has the funds to go to a university which is one of the top ten universities around. People who don't have the drive to work hard, eventually fail and end up being miserable.
My dream has always been to make a difference, to write and to be a part of something meaningful. Over the years, I have worked hard towards all three dreams of mine. It has not been easy. But so far it has been good. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing you amount to something other than being part of a family and society. In a fast growing world today, people tend to become faceless and irrelevant. I plan on being highly relevant in the world.
In business school they teach you that you can either work hard, or you can play around. What they don't teach you is that there is always a way to do both. People don't know how to live in moderation, or to find the path where a person can get all they have wanted. Why work so hard when you can not spend the money you earn? Why strive for better living conditions, when you can not enjoy spending time in those conditions?
For every dream we fulfill, we should take time out to enjoy it. I have thus far learned to enjoy what I am given. May it be my nature to enjoy and take part in the fun of today, I don't know. But all I know is that  when I get even a part out of my dream true, I tend to live it up.
