The Simplistic Beauty of the Motia Bangle

Simple, small wishes are what life really comes down to at some point. Well not always, but sometimes. In summers, in Pakistan, we get this flower, known as the Motia, a flower of the Jasmine family. It is the most beautiful and simple flower I have ever come across.

Roses, are by far the most adored flower in world. While the motia is the most underrated flower I have come across. However, it is my favorite flower. Its scent is the simple and sweet and elegant. There is nothing like it in the world. It embodies everything that is related to feminism. In my city, they make bangles of this flower. It can be found at every stop light in our city. Simple, elegant bangles can be found selling at every corner of city.

If a man buys me a bangle of motia, he would have a road straight to the heart. What it means, getting such a bangle from a man, is that he thought about you while he stopped at a light. What a woman really wants, is to know that the man she thinks about at multiple times of the day, also thinks about her.  The elegance of the bangle, to me embodies the elegance of a true woman. It is a simple and small bangle nothing much, not at any cost expensive or hard to acquire.

But believe me all my male readers out there, if you get such a bangle for your female friend, you just might make a bit more room in her heart for yourself. The reason for writing this, is that all week long, all I could think about is this bangle. And how everything a man does for a woman and vice versa all comes down to a simple thing; how much of thought was put into every single action.

You see, a woman really only needs a few things, and my dear male readers, there is not much might be able to do about the fights and the arguments, but small gestures are what really count. I watched a TED video once, about the art of scent and a woman. How, each point where the scent is supposed to be placed means something. How it should tell the story of what the woman really wants from her man. You all should really go check it out.

But when you look a woman in the eye and tell her something, she will know how much you mean it. Or when you actually just hold her hand for no reason, she will have no doubt you adore her and aren’t ashamed of her. Or just removing the lock of hair from her eyes, while she is not paying attention, will tell her that you cared enough to do that. Each action each word that you utter, holds a meaning in her heart and mind.

At the end of the day, if you really want to know what a woman is thinking, pay attention to her face when she is retelling a story to you. Or how many times in the day she tries to start a conversation. If you really want to know how much you hurt her with your words, all you have to do is look at how hard shes pushed herself into her work. Or how sad her eyes look, even when she is smiling. Her laugh may be louder, but that is the volume of the pain inside of her.

The simple act of bringing her a motia bangle might lessen that pain. It might also just make her think that you thought of her. And that my friend makes all the difference in the world. A woman is a fragile as the flower I have mentioned here. How you treat her goes a long way to how she is with you and with the world. Because believe me when I say, if you hurt her, she might lash out, go quite or simply walk away but she will always hold out hope for you to realize she is hurting and that you will take her pain away.

Let me also add here, that all women have the capacity to bear the pain you inflict on her. They are resilient, but that does not mean, they are without the ability to know when they have had enough. Buy her a motia bangle and see her face shine with a bright smile. Try this and you might have just taken a step towards making a bigger place in her heart.
