The Fish, The Pond and The Ocean

Yes I know it has been some time since j ranted your ears off with my musings. But I have been busy with work and family and just myself. So breathe a little I am back.
I was chatting with a friend of mine regarding someone I know. Yes we all do it don't feel scandalized. And I was trying to figure out why I am having the problems I'm having with this person. And i finally realized, it is because they are a big fish in a small pond.
Yes my readers i am using an age old adage. Is adage the right word or is it a proverb. Alright lets just call it a saying. That big fish in a small pond will no matter what, always be smaller compared to the fish in the ocean.
I kid you not when u say, that a lot of people may talk the talk but aren't able to walk the walk. Haaa aren't i just brimming with sayings and proverbs and what not today. So yes, what it means is that at the end of the day a lot of people might sag alot of things, but they are not able to back it up with action.
Why do i say this? Simple because i don't like people who think words will help take them far. I make it a point to say things which i can actually do. I mean why bother with anything else? So fish in the pond has to be able to back up its claims if being big everywhere with action.
You do realize I'm drawing a similarity right? Lol i seem to be in a good mood. But yes the fish has to back up its claim. Let me put it in words which aren't stupid.
It is common in the corporate world for people to get complacent. They end up not wanting to move thinking that they are good at what they do. But what really has happened is that they like being the big man on campus. There is no denying that they know alot and have good amount of experience.
But they don't like to cultivate others around them. They are scared to do that because they don't to move somewhere else and give the other person space. This causes a huge blockage if talent in any organization.
Alright so i agree people might be scared of how it might turn out. But you should always have faith in yourself. You should always have faith in the Almighty. From my experience, even though i am not really devout. I trust in His existence and His plan for me.
But such people, get a stick stuck where the sun doesn't shine. LOL so i have always wanted to say that. Im really sorry if any of you got offended. They don't like acknowledging the hard work of others. How selfish is that? I love telling people if they do a good job. I mean how can you not?
I hope you all now understand, that the pond's big fish will never want to swim out to the ocean. They know they wont be able to swim in the stronger current present in the ocean. Nor will they be the big fish anymore.
